Best Practices & Applications - Storage & Handling
Norbord used a water-resistant adhesive to manufacture its panels, but care should still be taken to protect OSB products from prolonged exposure to water before, during and after installation. Where possible, store panels indoors or under an enclosure. When stored outdoors, panels should be covered under well-secured plastic sheeting, on blocks, in a flat, well-ventilated area preferably with low humidity.
For long-term storage, stack using dunnage to avoid warpage.
To minimize damage, panels should not be dropped on their corners. When a forklift is used to transport panels, care must be taken by the operator not to jab or drop panels.
